How we score
By Lidhin Tech Media · Updated 3 Oct 2026
This page explains the four scores used on the site, how use-case fit is computed, how verdicts are written, and what the Tested label means.
Performance
Performance reflects CPU class, RAM amount, and storage capacity from the listing.
Gaming
Gaming reflects dedicated GPU capability. Integrated graphics score low (typically 2–3).
Portability
Portability reflects weight and size. Lighter machines score higher.
Future-proof
Future-proof reflects RAM/storage headroom, upgradeable memory when stated, and Copilot+ / NPU readiness when listed.
Fit
Use-case fit on Students, Coding, Gaming, Travel, and Business pages is computed from the four scores above, then adjusted for listed RAM, dedicated GPU (gaming), and weight (travel).
Verdict
Verdicts are spec-based analysis of marketplace listings. Battery life, thermals, keyboard feel, speakers, and real screen brightness were not evaluated unless a laptop is marked Tested.
Tested
The Tested label appears only when tested is true — after the laptop has been used hands-on. Until then, treat every pick as an educated suggestion.
